Provide crisis intervention & assistance. Crisis Lines and 211 Information & Referral lines are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year to anyone in crisis or in need of information. The level of risk of each call is assessed and we work to stabilize crisis situations. We refer to countless organizations through our 211 program to ensure clients get connected to the right help to fit their needs. We also provide professional short-term counselling services free of charge to crisis line and drop-in clients. Emergency financial assistance is dispersed to help at-risk families cover basic needs. We offer specialty focused lines and partner with other organizations to answer their calls including: Province of Alberta Family Violence Information Line; Work-Safety line for Calgary & Area Child & Family Services workers; Out-is-OK Line; Seniors Connect Line; 1-800-SUICIDE Line; Men's Line; and Teen Line.
